Although the free throw may feel like it, it’s certainly not life or death.
The Challenge Mindset: When you approach a stressful event with a challenge mindset, you quiet your fight or flight response. You’re able to recognize and assess the threat and realize that shooting this free throw is not the same as being chased by a bear. No matter what, you will survive! The ability to summon the challenge mindset is the difference between choking under pressure and thriving under it!
